About the Audiology Program at WashU Medicine

The audiology program equips graduates for a career as a clinical audiologist. The three-year curriculum integrates coursework with clinical practicum and research experiences. Students begin foundational coursework and clinical practicum in the first semester of study, with hands-on experiences become more immersive in each successive semester. These clinical education experiences culminate in the third year with a full-time clinical externship. The curriculum covers the scope of practice and includes coursework on the basic and applied sciences, as well as prevention, identification, evaluation, and treatment of auditory and vestibular disorders.  A Pediatric Audiology Specialization and Research Specialization are also available. The School of Medicine is committed to recruiting, enrolling and educating a diverse student body.
