Who is CIPE?

The Collaboration for Interprofessional Education (CIPE) was established in August of 2015 to further the goal of improving patient safety and quality in health care by the three co-located institutional partners on the Washington University Medical Campus. Our mission is to support the development of interprofessional curriculum activities and promote educational environments which value and support collaboration.

What is IPE & IP?

Interprofessional Education (IPE) occurs when two or more professions learn about, from, and with each other to enable effective collaboration and improve health outcomes. Interprofessional Practice (IP) occurs when multiple health workers from different professional backgrounds work together with patients, families, caregivers and communities to deliver the highest quality of care.

Steering Committee

The Collaboration is guided by a Steering Committee comprised of representatives from each of its three member and appoints representatives to the CIPE Curriculum & Assessment Committee.
