Hometown: I grew up near Sacramento, California and went to college in Oxford, Ohio.

What Your Profession Brings to the Team: Medicine brings many years of education and professional identity formation. The skills of teamwork integration, understanding the expertise of others and patient care are all cultivated heavily in the WashU medical program and represent a lot of what MDs bring to the team. 

Why You Joined HPSLC: Understanding how to work in interprofessional teams and help create an environment where all professions feel valued and respected is crucial for every physician to enable optimal patient care. I am also married to a nurse who works at Barnes in the OR.
