Dr. Cara Cipriano and 4th year medical student Kate Gerull have received a 2019 Joan F. Giambalvo Fund for the Advancement of Women Research Award from the American Medical Association Foundation. The title of the award winning study is “Gender differences in medical students’ sense of belonging in Orthopedic Surgery: A multi-institution study.” The goal of the study is to investigate factors that are contributing to the gender gap within Orthopedic Surgery.
