Maria Perez has joined the Program Evaluation and Continuous Quality Improvement Unit and will be in and out of the office working on special projects as they arise. She splits her time with PE/CQI and various other research efforts around campus.
Maria is a specialized research professional in the Division of General Medical Sciences and has worked under the directorship of Donna Jeffe, PhD, for over fourteen years. Maria has been responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of several behavioral research projects as well as the management of the Health Behavior, Communication and Outreach Core, which provides services to investigators engaged in Prevention and Control and Clinical and Translational research. Maria also coordinates a Research Training and Career Development Annual Meeting funded by the National Human Genome Research Institute so that trainees can present their research and form collaborations with others from across the US.
Maria really enjoys free time with her husband and two little kids, especially when traveling and lounging at the lake. Maria is excited to work with the Program Evaluation and Continuous Quality Improvement Unit and looks forward to meeting everyone in OE.
