Distinguished Faculty Awards
The Distinguished Faculty Awards recognize outstanding achievements in clinical care, community service, research and teaching. They are co-sponsored by the dean’s office, the Office of Faculty Affairs, Central Administration and the Executive Committee of the Faculty Council.
The Distinguished Educator/Mentor Award recognizes one faculty member for excellence in teaching and mentoring within each of the following categories:
- Graduate Student Teaching (non-MD students)
- House Staff Teaching
- Clinical Fellow Mentoring
- Postdoctoral Research Mentoring (PhD)
Nomination process
Washington University School of Medicine faculty and Washington University Clinical Associates (WUCA) physicians who have held a primary or courtesy appointment in a School of Medicine department or program for a minimum of five years are eligible for nomination. Additional criteria may apply.
Nomination period: Spring 2022
To nominate a faculty member, you must be a currently employed faculty member, WUCA physician or post-doctoral trainee. Graduate students, residents and clinical fellows will need to co-nominate with a School of Medicine faculty member.
